PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device for a rotary tool to be used in a lathe, etc., which clutch device can suppress a vibration due to the clutch for the rotary tool. SOLUTION: The clutch device for the rotary tool has a tenon shape projection (8) on either a driving shaft (5) of a machine tool or transmitting shafts (4) for rotary tools (3a, 3b), and a groove (7) provided on the mating member so as to engage with the projection (8). An elastic body (19) is attached to the projection (8) or the groove (7) so as to be inserted into the clearance (δ) between both flat surfaces (8a, 8b) of the projection (8) and the opposite walls (7a, 7b) of the groove 7.
