<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell prevented from leakage of electrolyte solution, capable of reducing the number of components by eliminating spacers, and obtaining high durability. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell comprises a first and second transparent substrates 1 and 1A faced each other with a small interval, a sealing peripheral wall 5 which glues peripheral parts of these first and second transparent substrates 1 and 1A, an electrolyte solution 6 sealed between these substrates 1 and 1A. The sealing peripheral wall 5 is a finite form of silicon adhesive 10. Since the sealing peripheral wall 5 is made of silicon adhesive excellent in adhesion, chemical resistance, waterproof, weather resistance and environmental condition; there is no danger of leakage of electrolyte solution 6.
