PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth which is used for a protector to clean an infant's oral cavity till the infant acquires the habit of brushing teeth after birth. SOLUTION: The cloth for cleaning an infant's oral cavity is desirably one prepared by impregnating a meshed nonwoven fabric with an aqueous solution containing xylitol and a tea extract, wherein the amount of the tea extract in the aqueous solution is in the range of 0.001 to 0.05 wt.%, and components contained in the aqueous solution are foods and/or food additives. The cloth is nonproblematic in the browning of the meshed nonwoven fabric in spite that the fabric is impregnated with the tea extract and can keep an infant's oral cavity sanitary to prevent the infant from suffering from, especially, dental caries by the action of the constituent tea extract and xylitol.
