<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink having a long term storage stability by which a large enough area factor and a high OD (image density) image are obtained even with a small amount of pigment ink drops and achieve high level uniformity of gloss on a glossy medium. <P>SOLUTION: The black ink used in the inkset composed of 4 kinds of inks of C/M/Y/Bk, each containing water, water-insoluble colorants, water-soluble organic solvents at least one of which is a good solvent for the water-insoluble colorants and at least one of which is a poor solvent for the water-insoluble colorants has a mass ratio of the good solvent B to the poor solvent A (B/A) of ≥0.5 and ≤3.0, a poor solvent exhibiting the largest Ka value determined by Bristow's method among the water-soluble organic solvents and the smallest B/A among the inks used in the inkset. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
