<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy loss when not in use for a long time, and to immediately carry out hot water supply of a necessary temperature when starting usage. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump water heater is provided with a heat pump circuit, a heat exchanger 7 heating water supplied from a water supply pipe 12 by a refrigerant of the heat pump circuit and delivering it to a hot water supply pipe 13, a hot water supply outlet communicated with the hot water supply pipe 13, a hot water storage tank 9 having a bottom communicated with the water supply pipe 12 and a top part communicated with the hot water supply pipe 13, a water circulation circuit having a circulating pump 20 returning water to the top part of the hot water storage tank 9 via the bottom of the hot water storage tank 9 and the hot water supply pipe 13, an operating unit 17 for inputting and setting a usage start time of the water heater, a temperature detecting means 11 for detecting a temperature of the hot water storage tank 9, and a control means 16 for starting operation of the heat pump circuit and the water circulation circuit before the set time of the usage start time and heating the hot water of the hot water storage tank to a set temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
