PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit protection device that improves insulation performance at the cutoff of a circuit caused by a pseudo leak current, and is easily arranged at a existing cable run by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The circuit protection device is used by being combined with an earth leakage breaker C arranged on the cable run between a power supply and a load, and comprises: a circuit abnormality detection part 1 that is connected to the cable run and detects the abnormality of the cable run; a switch 9 whose both ends are connected to the power supply side and the load side of the earth leakage breaker C, respectively, and which is turned on by receiving a signal from the circuit abnormality detection part 1; and a bypass circuit 8 that can make the pseudo leak current flow. The switch 9 of the bypass circuit 8 is turned off by the earth leakage breaker C that blocks the circuit from a state wherein the switch is turned on by receiving the signal from the circuit abnormality detection part 1.
