PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix which hardly causes shrinkage and water release with time, excels in shape retention, and has good storage stability. SOLUTION: The matrix patch comprises (1) 0.5-5 mass% hydrophilic thickener and/or hydrophilic gelling agent, (2) 40-50 mass% polyhydric alcohol, (3) 30-60 mass% water and (4) one or more kinds selected from the group (A) consisting of glycyrrhizic acid and its salt, an alkyl ester of glycyrrhetinic acid, ascorbic acid and its salt, and a glycoside of ascorbic acid and its salt, a phosphate of ascorbic acid and its salt, arbutin and its salt, ellagic acid and its salt, tranexamic acid and its salt, and 4-methoxysalicylic acid and its salt.
