<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for overlapping gene fragment information with high reliability for determination by comparing gene fragment length of a plurality of analytes more accurately and appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: This overlapping technique is provided with a third numerical sequence generating process for generating a third numerical sequence where all elements of a first set configured of gene fragment length of a first analyte and a second set configured of gene fragment length of a second analyte are aligned, a calculation process for calculating difference, a retrieval process for retrieving difference between elements of the first set and the second set while its absolute value is minimum, and an element pair generating process for moving the elements of the first set and the second set relevant to the difference, as one set of element pair, to a forth set when the absolute value of the retrieved difference is not more than or less than a prescribed threshold value. A fourth set generating process is executed where the forth set is generated by repetitively executing the calculation process, the retrieval process and the element pair generating process until no element pair remains. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
