PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric equipment equipped with a plurality of pieces of hardware, operating as a predetermined model following model dependent data for preventing the model dependent data from being easily changed. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 1 equipped with a plurality of pieces of hardware, operating as a predetermined model following model dependent data different for each model, is provided with a plurality of control boards 5, a plurality of memories 7 and a main substrate 9. The plurality of control boards 5 respectively control the operation of predetermined hardware. The plurality of memories 7 are arranged at a plurality of parts including a plurality of control boards 5, and configured so that data can be freely read and written. The main substrate 9 writes the model dependent data in at least one of the plurality of memories 7, and reads the model dependent data at the time of start for discriminating the model.
