PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "vehicle-mounted disk player" which can prevent damage of a disk when inserted by mistake, without enlarging the depth dimension. SOLUTION: A protective plate 14c projecting in the direction toward a front surface plate 1c of a chassis 1 is provided to an arm clamp 14 for rotatably supporting a clamper 15, at the central part with respect to the width direction of a disk insertion slot 34a. The protective plate 14c is retracted to the upstream of the disk carrying path when the disk D is inserted/ejected, and the protected plate 14c is driven, associated with the inclination operation of the arm clamp 14 when the playing operation of the disk D is performed.
