PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber package excellent in dispersing property, substantially without attaching a sizing agent and suitable for the reduction of its cost in a higher processing since having a large wound amount, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This carbon fiber package is obtained by winding≥4.5 kg carbon fiber without substantially attaching the sizing agent and having <0.5 wt. % water content on a core bobbin. The carbon fiber package is obtained by passing through an after treatment process of the carbon fiber production in a state of without substantially attaching the sizing agent and improving the converging property by imparting water content to the carbon fiber, drying until the water content becomes <0.5 wt. % and then winding the carbon fiber on the core bobbin by≥4.5 kg.
