PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for fracturing/recovering a metal catalyst, in which metal catalyst-containing powder is recovered from the body to be treated. SOLUTION: This apparatus for fracturing/recovering the metal catalyst is provided with: a vessel 1a into which the body 6 to be treated, which consists of a metal catalyst-deposited carrier (a metallic carrier 7a) or a catalytic converter 7b with the carrier (the metallic carrier 7a) packed in the metallic cylinder, is charged; an impact blade 1n which is rotated in the vessel 1a and by which the body 6 to be treated is impact-fractured into fragments each having the size capable of falling by its own weight and the metal catalyst-containing powder 30 is separated from the body 6 to be treated; a suspending means for suspending the separated powder 30 higher upward in the vessel; and a dust collector 2 for sucking/recovering the powder 30 suspended in the vessel 1a. The impact blade 1n is arranged closely to the bottom 14 of the vessel 1a. The bottom 17 of the impact blade 1n or the bottom 14 of the vessel 1a is formed into an uneven shape.
