PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk unit which can perform stable pull-in operation of a tracking servo. SOLUTION: When a value A of rotating speed of a spindle motor 3 at the time of pull-in of the tracking servo coincides with a resonance frequency or its vicinity of an information pickup 4, the rotating speed of the spindle motor 3 is temporarily slowed down or accelerated from the detected rotating speed A, a tracking servo-loop 21 is pulled-in avoiding the resonance frequency and its vicinity, and the rotating speed of spindle motor 3 is returned to the detected value of revolution A after confirming the stability of pull-in.
