摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the response characteristics of a liquid crystal display by means of a simplified control circuit and the image quality in moving image display. SOLUTION: In the control circuit of the liquid crystal display, a display drive data generating portion (12) has a conversion table that refers to the display drive data of a present frame from the present frame image data and the status data, after driving of the previous frame. Since the conversion table stores the display driving data or its compensation value, in response to the combination of the top bits of the present frame image data and the top bits of the previous frame image data, the capacity of high-speed memory circuit saving the conversion table can be reduced. With the reduction in the capacity of the conversion table, the precision of the display driving data or its compensation value is lowered. Therefore, an interpolation circuit is installed and the display driving data and its compensation value with the precision enhanced by interpolation calculation is generated, thereby compensating for the input image data and display driving data are obtained.
