The method involves making a film (200) from a dielectric, and arranging electrodes (210, 220) on front and back sides of the film, respectively. The electrodes are created by partially coating the film with electrode material. The film is folded for stack arrangement that has a set of layers (201-208). The electrodes are arranged alternatively between the layers, and the stack arrangement is pressed and fired. An independent claim is also included for a piezoelectric component.
