<p>An elastic seal (1) and a sealing foot (2) having a holding rib (3) at its lower end and a sealing head (5) at its upper end, the upper surface (9) of which is roughly at right angles to the holding rib rear surface (4). The wall strength (d) continuously reduces from the top to the bottom of the sealing foot. The sealing head (5) has a sealing lip (6) with a downwardly curving cross-section, the upper side (11) of which curves to extend somewhat beyond the upper side of the sealing head (5). A support stay (7) projects from beneath the sealing head (5), its underside (13) converging with the upper end of the sealing foot (2) and the upper side (14) forms a recess (15) with the under side of the sealing lip. The sealing head, sealing lip and support stay are formed as an integral unit.</p> |
