Boxblanks comprising corrugated cores having, on one or both sides, paper liners are passed through apparatus for detecting imperfectly bonded liners, and comprising a pair of perforate belts 36, 38 furnished with upper and lower suction boxes 32, 34 the forward ends of which partly enclose reduced portions of the rollers 26 carrying- the belts. Imperfectly bonded liners are stripped by the suction, drawn around the rollers 26, stripped therefromby pivoted and spring-pressed fingers 82, 84, and removedbetween the rollers 26 and. linkmounted. rollers 66, 68. All rollers are driven through toothed gearing from a common powersource. In a modification the belts 36, 38 are replaced by a pair of perforate and partially shielded hollow suction rollers.
