<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radar apparatus and a similar apparatus in which the accuracy of the direction of an image is good, in which all pixels can be updated with only a single rotation and in which the peripheral speed can be made high. SOLUTION: In a radar apparatus and a similar apparatus, an image memory 13 in which received data is coordinate-transformed into orthogonal coordinates from polar coordinates to be stored is provided, a LAST detection part 10 which detects a point B on a succeeding sweepθn-1 is a LAST sample point is provided, a pixel-omission detection part 11, which detects whether a pixel X adjacent to a pixel X-1 corresponding to the point B agrees with pixels corresponding to respective sample points A, C, D to F.
