FIELD: agriculture. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves forming planting holes; placing potato tubers in planting holes; covering planting holes containing potato tubers therein with soil by means of forks on thrust tine. Planting hole is closed with soil, which had been extracted upon forming of next planting hole, by horizontally displacing forks with soil on thrust tine, positioning fork above potato tuber and turning fork with soil through 90 deg. ^ EFFECT: decreased consumption of power and reduced labor intensity for planting of potato tubers. ^ 4 dwg
