PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens array which is capable of facilitating the manufacture of a microlens array die, obtaining a lens shape according to design and enhancing the utilization efficiency of light by preventing light made incident to gap parts from linearly passing, and has excellent diffusibility and brightness. SOLUTION: The microlens array is provided with a plurality of convex or concave lenses independent of one another, which are two-dimensionally arranged, respectively. Therein, regular gaps between a lens and at least one lens around the lens are formed and the shapes of cross-section of the gaps have curved surfaces or the surfaces of the gaps are made rough.
