PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for processing data, which can make a size of a memory to store a data for checking an error relatively small. SOLUTION: A data memory unit 14 stores a specified data, wherein a stored data is divided and grouped into a plurality of data blocks 20. A code memory unit 15 stores CRC code data for determination by processing a predefined code process for each data block 20 to be stored in the data memory unit 14. Accordingly, a data volume for the CRC code data for the determination that are stored in the code memory unit 15, can be reduced in terms of a data volume in comparison with a method to be used in the conventional technology, in which the whole CRC code data corresponding to the data stored in the data memory unit 14 is stored in the code memory unit 15. Thus the capacity of the code memory unit 15 that stores the CRC code data for determination can be reduced compared with that in the conventional technology. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
