<p>A discharge lamp lighting circuit comprises an inverter (3) for converting a DC voltage into a high-frequency voltage, a plurality of discharge lamps (11 to 15) to be lighted with the high-frequency voltage of the inverter (3), and a plurality of current transformers (CT1 to CT5) disposed to correspond to those discharge lamps (11 to 15). The current transformers (CT1 to CT5) have their secondary windings (21b to 25b) connected in series with the respective discharge lamps (11 to 15). The series circuits of the discharge lamps (11 to 15) and the secondary windings (21b to 25b) of the current transformers (CT1 to CT5) are individually connected in parallel with the two output ends of the inverter (3), with which the primary windings (21a to 25a) of the current transformers (CT1 to CT5) are connected in series.</p> |
