<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly detect a predetermined position inside an objective image with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing device is provided with a pattern image storage part 12 storing three local pattern images RP1-RP3 constituting a global pattern image GP, a correlation value image creation part 13 creating correlation value images C1-C3 individually showing correlation between the local pattern images RP1-RP3 with an original image, a movement part 14 moving the correlation images C1-C3 so that areas having high correlation in the correlation value images C1-C3 overlap the center O of the global pattern image GP, a superimposition part 15 superimposing the correlation value images C1-C3 for forming a single synthetic image, and a detection part 16 detecting an area having high correlation from the synthetic image for detecting the predetermined position inside the objective image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
