Insulating material (I) comprises: a thickening agent (A) (1-20 wt.%) which is a triblockcopolymer essentially comprising two polystyrene-blocks; a thickening agent (B) (1-20 wt.%) which is a diblockcopolymer essentially comprising one polystyrene-blocks; and a hydrocarbon-based oil (60-98 wt.%), related to the total weight of (I). Insulating material (I) comprises: a thickening agent (A) (1-20 wt.%) which is a triblockcopolymer essentially comprising two polystyrene-blocks and a block is obtained from one or more alpha-olefin and/or diene, where the double bonds in the block are optionally hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated; a thickening agent (B) (1-20 wt.%), which is a diblockcopolymer essentially comprising one polystyrene-blocks and a block is obtained from one or more alpha-olefin and/or diene, where the double bonds in the block are optionally hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated; and a hydrocarbon-based oil (60-98 wt.%), related to the total weight of (I). An independent claim is also included for an electrical or optical device comprising (I) and exhibits at least a fiber optic cable.
