<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function extension type system which can impart more information by a user by displaying another information from a main panel, by utilizing a panel not used by an extension when an external unit is connected to the processor and which realizes an easily usable operability. <P>SOLUTION: The function extension type system comprises a second operation panel for operating the entire equipment after the extension in the equipment having the first operation panel which can extend the function by connecting the external unit.
