<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device having a means for developing electrostatic latent images formed on an image carrier by applying oscillating voltage to a developer carrier, and restraining the "sweeping together" phenomenon that occurrs when the developing means develops latent images, without causing the lowering of the density of a developed image, so that high-quality developer images are obtained over a long term, and to provide an image forming apparatus and a cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet member 11 is arranged to hang from an upstream side in the rotating direction of the developer carrier 6 so that its leading edge enters a development area α acting on development in a gap (d), between the image carrier 9 and the developer carrier 6 in the developing device, which is equipped with a means 13 for changing the oscillating voltage according to the position of the leading edge of the sheet member 11 in the development area α. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
