PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the uplifting (heaving) of an excavated surface by artesian water pressure in the case of underground excavation. SOLUTION: A method preventing the uplifting (heaving) of the excavated ground surface is so constituted that the weight ground 1 substituting the ground of the upper part of the artesian water pressure acting surface for a substance with large mass is developed and that it is used as a resisting body higher than the artesian water pressure by using the same ground together with a ground anchor 3.
