<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction of a device caused by receiving a transmitted optical signal regardless of its destination due to reception of an optical signal transmitted to other device. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical communication system 14 comprising an optical sheet bus 42A connected, respectively, with the LD array 18 at an optical communication I/F section 16A (master) through a first optical fiber 26 and the PD arrays 20 at a plurality of optical communication I/F sections 16B, 16C and 16D (slave) through second optical fibers 30, 32 and 34 and arranged such that an optical signal exiting from the LD array 18 of master and entering through the first optical fiber 26 is distributed by an optical sheet bus 42A to the second optical fibers 30, 32 and 34 and received by the PD arrays 20 of respective slaves, third optical fibers 48B, 48C and 48D connecting the master directly with respective slaves are provided. When information is transmitted from the master to a specific slave, information of destination ID, or the like, is transmitted as an optical signal to each slave through the third optical fiber 48B, 48C, 48D, and main part of transmission object information is transmitted as an optical signal to each slave through the first optical fiber 26, the optical sheet bus 42A and the second optical fiber 30, 32, 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
