PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact tool which surely detects the rotational frequency without being affected by axial vibration of a rotary shaft of a motor, and also, is advantageous to miniaturization and weight reduction. SOLUTION: The impact tool is provided with: the motor 3; an impact mechanism part 5 for generating the impact blow from the rotation of the motor 3; and a rotational frequency sensor 7 for detecting the rotational frequency of the motor. The rotational frequency sensor 7 is composed of a magnet 70, which is radially magnetized and mounted to the rotary shaft of the motor, and a magnetic induction element 71 arranged to the outer periphery of the magnet. The magnet 70 and the magnetic induction element 71 are prevented from interfering with each other even if the rotary shaft itself of the motor 3 is axially vibrated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
