INVERTER DEVICE AND VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER USING THE SAME

An inverter device includes three sets of series circuit formed by connecting two switching elements (2) in series between a positive and a negative terminal of a DC voltage source (1). The connection point between the two switching elements is connected to a motor (11). DC voltage of the DC power source is switched by the PWM 3-phase modulation so as to output AC current of a sinusoidal wave shape to the motor. An upper arm switching element connected to the positive terminal of the DC power source adds or reduces the same ON period in all the phases for each carrier cycle of the PWM 3-phase modulation so as to provide two electric communication periods in a carrier cycle.
