<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database management method which can prevent tampering of information on an entire row concerning information on a row as one nit piece of information while securing flexibility for making use of a database. <P>SOLUTION: Information on a tampering prevention attribute can be set as information on the column constituting the row of the database of a table, or equivalently, can be set for each row of the table. Then, for updating information on the column or deleting the column, information on the tampering prevention attribute is referred to, and whether or not the information indicates tampering prevention is determined. Then, consequently, if it is determined that the tampering prevention is indicated, the information on the column is not updated nor deleted.
