The present invention relates to a method for identifying one or more regions of a gene of interest which are suitable targets for modulating in a biological system of interest. Said regions enable specific targeting of a gene, or of a family of genes, while minimising any effects on other genes in the biological system. The invention further relates to a computer program and a kit therefor.
