<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an optical pickup consisting of a plurality of objective lenses and a plurality of rising mirrors corresponding to a plurality of kinds of media. <P>SOLUTION: A reflecting surface 201 of the rising mirror 251 is a pentagon in the shape of a figure projected to a plane parallel to the recording surface of an optical disk and a reflecting surface 203 of the rising mirror 252 is a pentagon in the shape of the figure projected to the plane parallel to the recording surface of the optical disk. The rising mirror 251 and the rising mirror 252 are combined by adjoining a portion of a segment ab<SB>1</SB>and a portion of a segment ab<SB>2</SB>and are lined up in such a manner the condensing spot by the first objective lens and the condensing spot by the second objective lens are aligned to the recording track direction of the optical disk. The rising mirror 251 changes the optical axis of the light beam made incident from the direction angular to the recording track direction 5 to an approximately perpendicular direction and guides the light to the first objective lens. The rising mirror 252 changes the optical axis of the light beam made incident from the direction angular to the recording track direction to the approximately perpendicular direction and guides the light to the second objective lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
