The device has a circulating tube (30) placed outside a protective sheath (4). The tube communicates with an inner volume of a generator`s circuit breaker (2) through an opening (28) formed in the sheath to form a space in which dielectric gas circulates by natural convection between the inner volume and space of the circulating tube. An independent claim is also included for an electric apparatus including a passive cooling device.
