1. A kinescope glass tube, containing an element, which constitutes the front plate of a determined thickness. The front plate undergoes surface compressive stress, generated during the plate production and an anti-implosive tape (30), fitted tightly by contraction at the plate rim to increase the surface compressive stress in the plate. It is characterised in that the surface compressive stress in the front plate (12) generated during its production assumes values in the range of 3.103 -11.376 MPa. The surface compressive stress in the front plate (12) generated by the anti-implosive tape assumes values in the range of 1.172-1.999 MPa. The front plate (12) thickness is adjusted to the required resultant tensile stress in the front plate, which does not exceed 7.929 MPa. |
