The device has a tub-shaped gas-tight container (SG) with an opening into which the liquid-sensitive component (B) can be introduced. The container is attached in or onto the vehicle above the component to be protected, whereby the opening is arranged in the lower part of the container and is not closed. An independent claim is also included for a method of protecting liquid-sensitive components in a vehicle.
