<p>Water treatment apparatus (105) which typically includes a floating platform (106) supported by floats (108), a drum filter (114) for initially treating water on which the platform (106) is floating and a series of treatment chambers (130,131,133,134) in which water from the drum filter (114) is exposed to ozone and ultraviolet light. Baffles (128) and (129) cause the water to flow through the treatment chambers (130,131,133,134) in a serpentine manner. The apparatus (105) may also include a chamber (125) beneath the drum filter (114) which contains bacteria supported on media (126) within the chamber (125) and comprising a biological filter. The apparatus in other embodiments may be supported on the land for water treatment purposes in a number of different applications.</p> |
