PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiving system, a tuner and a television receiving method whereby a user can simply grasp the introduction effects of a smart antenna. SOLUTION: Comparing the number of channels B receptible by the smart antenna unit 10 with the number of channels A receptible by other antennas and displaying the result allow the user to recognize that the reception state of the smart antenna unit 10 is better than that of the other antennas if the result indicates an ordinary state. That is, the user can simply recognize the introduction effects of the smart antenna unit 10. Further, if the number of channels B receptible by the smart antenna unit 10 is equal to or less than the number of channels A receptible by the other antennas, the user can recognize that the installed position of the smart antenna unit 10 is improper.
