PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front fork capable of preventing bend and gall of a piston rod, loafing of a damping force at a switch of expansion/contraction stroke, and occurrence of an abnormal noise incident to bend of the piston rod. SOLUTION: In a front fork 10, a piston rod 24 is divided into a base end side piston rod member 91 fixed to a body side outer tube 11 and a tip side piston rod member 92 inserted into a damper cylinder 21.
