PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact device for compressing, dehydrating and hermetically packaging refuse of foods or the like in order to effectively utilizing them. SOLUTION: A screw is provided inside a cylindrical compression screen formed of a perforated plate so that the axis of rotation is in the vertical direction. The capacities between pitches of the screw are gradually reduced from an inlet side to an outlet side, a throw-in port of the stuff to be treated is formed below the compression screen for dehydration by compression of the stuff. A dehydration liquid collection jacket is provided in an outer circumferential part of the compression screen and below the screw to collect dehydration liquid. The compressed and dehydrated stuff is continuously and automatically packed by the predetermined amount in an interlocking manner therewith. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
