PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive cosmetic container in which a lid body is smoothly sprung up at the time of opening a lid, and for which assembly work is facilitated, the touch of spring-up at the time of opening the lid is soft and the need of an adhesive material is eliminated. SOLUTION: The cosmetic container comprises a container body 1 for which a cosmetic tray housing recessed part 6 is formed on an upper surface and a lid body 2 covering the upper surface of the container body 1. A hinge connection part 8 projectingly provided downwards from the rear end part of the lid body 2 is housed and freely turnably connected to a rear side notched recessed part 11 formed at the rear end part of the container body 1, a recessed part for communication is perforated on the partition wall of the container body 1, and a rubber elastic member 18 is fixed to the recessed part for the communication. In the state of closing the lid, the front end part of the rubber elastic member 18 pressurizes the rear surface of a cosmetic tray 3 inside the cosmetic tray housing recessed part 6, also the rear end part of the rubber elastic member 18 pressurizes the front surface of the hinge connection part 8 inside the rear side notched recessed part 11, and lid opening energizing is performed at the time of opening the lid.
