PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disable user's recognition of presence of a reception mail before an openable date or before a standby time lapses. SOLUTION: A mail transmission device transmits a mail in a state that a designated standby time designated from a transmitter is included in the mail. A mail reception device has a reception mail standby area 642 and a reception mail storage area 643 for a mailer, and detects whether the designated standby time is included in the mail when receiving the mail. When not included, the mail reception device stores the reception mail into the reception mail storage area 643 for the mailer and displays the reception of the mail. When included, the mail reception device calculates a corrected standby time by subtracting a network delay time from the designated standby time, starts count of the corrected standby time, stores the reception mail into the reception mail standby area 642, transfers the reception mail to the reception mail storage area 643 for the mailer from the reception mail standby area 642 when the corrected standby time lapses, and display the reception of the mail.
