PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottle can wherein creases are hardly formed on a coating film of the upper end part when turned up, and a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: For the bottle can of this invention, in the bottle can 1 in which the coating film is formed on the inner face of a bottle can main body made of a metal, the gel fraction of the coating film 41 on the opened upper end part 31 is lower than the gel fraction of the coating film 42 of parts except the upper end part. In addition, in the method for manufacturing the bottle can of this invention, the method comprises a coating process for forming the coating film by coating the inner face of a closed-end cylindrical body made of the metal with an inner face coating, and a heating process for heating the closed-end cylindrical body on which the coating film is formed from the opened upper end part side. In the heating process, heating is performed by the time when the gel fraction of the coating film 41 of the upper end part 31 becomes lower than the gel fraction of the coating film 42 of the parts except the upper end part.
