<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter substrate for a color filter or a color conversion filter having excellent environment resistance without adversely influencing a luminescent element of a display, hardly causing disconnection of an electrode, and having high reliabilty; and to provide a display using it. <P>SOLUTION: This color display is characterized by sequentially stacking: a filter substrate composed by stacking a transparent support substrate 11, a pattern layer 13, a first overcoat layer 15 formed of a reaction product using, as a material, at least a substance selected from aminoalkyl dialkoxy silane, aminoalkyl trialkoxy silane and a complex containing a compound thereof as a main constituent, and obtained by a chemical reaction mainly comprising hydrolysis of the material, and a first transparent inorganic thin film layer 17, wherein Ra (average roughness) of the surface of the first transparent inorganic thin film layer 17 is below 5 nm and Rmax (maximum roughness) thereof is 80 nm or below; a transparent electrode layer; a luminescent layer; and a second electrode layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
