PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure and a mounting method for mounting a plate-like member made of a metallic plate on a base by cold caulking even when using liquid crystal polymer in synthetic resin constituting a projection. SOLUTION: This mounting structure for the plate-like member 1 is provided with the base 3 made of synthetic resin, the projection 4 formed integrally by protruding from the base 3, and the plate-like member 1 having a mounting part 1a constituted by a hole or a cut-out part inserted into the projection 4 and made of the metallic plate, and the projection 4 is inserted into the mounting part 1a to attach the plate-like member 1 to the base 3 by crushing the projection 4.
