PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker in which a movable core can surely rotate a tripping interlock axis by a spring force when a short-circuit current is flowed. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker comprises a switching mechanism turning a current on and off; a restoration spring 2 restraining the movement of a movable core 1 toward a fixed core 3; and a tripping mechanism in which, the movable core 1 moves toward the fixed core 3 to automatically break a current at overcurrent. When the movable core 1 moves to a prescribed position in the direction of fixed core 3, the restoration spring 2 of the tripping mechanism energizes the movable core 1 so as to move toward the fixed core 3, and makes the tripping interlock axis trip in rotation.
