PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of automatically switching a channel of a television receiver installed in a waiting lounge of a hospital or the like to a channel of broadcasting a hit program to the majority of people resident in the lounge. SOLUTION: A television viewing apparatus 10 installed in the waiting lounge gathers desired station selection information items from mobile phones 20a to 20d located in the vicinity when a program switchable time comes round and totalizes the items, selects a program of a viewing object on the basis of a result of total, and selects the setting program when the switching time comes. Each of the mobile phones 20a to 20d stores its own viewing history and properly fetches the viewing history of each of the own home's television viewing apparatuses 30a to 30d or the like.
