PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a hands-free unit and a call termination notice method" for informing a user about the arrival of an incoming call to a mobile phone without any hindrance. SOLUTION: A control section 12 of a hands-free processing unit 1 starts a timer when the control section 12 receives the arrival of an incoming call via an interface signal from a mobile phone 50 loaded on a cradle 2. When the control section 12 receives transmission of voice of the incoming call from the mobile phone 50 before the occurrence of a timeout of the timer, the control section 12 stops the timer. On the other hand, on the occurrence of the timeout of the timer, the control section 12 allows a tone generating section 13 to generate a prescribed ringer tone and allows a mixer section 15 to output the ringer tone generated by the tone generating section 13 to a speaker 6.
