PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten an antenna unit by installing an antenna driving mechanism in a rotatable antenna support frame. CONSTITUTION:At the tip of mast 10 standing on the ground, frame 2 is fitted being rotatable on vertical axis C1. Then, antenna 1 is pivoted on axis 3 of frame 2 and rotatable on horizontal axis C2. In the internal cavity of frame 2, motor 4 and reduction gear mechanism 5 are installed being mounted direct on a frame constituent member. Therefore, the rotation of motor 4 allows frame 2 to turn on vertical axis C1 via reduction gear mechanism 5. Thus, the need for the constituent member such as a gear case is eliminated because the driving mechanism for the antenna is installed inside of the frame, so that the miniature and lightweight antenna unit can be obtained. Similarly, this is applicable to a vertical driving mechanism which rotates the antenna on horizontal axis C2. |
