PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device against overturning for furniture which is placed on the side of the lowest part of the main body of target furniture or the like to utilize a contiguous floor, catches a little space between the bottom of the furniture and floor surface to make a nail receiving pin come down by a compression spring by the quake generated in sympathetic vibration with the earthquake motion, and unlatch from a nail receiving device, and enables a protruding bar to protrude parallel to the floor, and to adhere to the floor to restrain the quake. SOLUTION: By placing each device (two devices make one pair) on both sides of the lowest part of the furniture in a room, a vibration isolating effect can be increased.
